Chocolate Sauce

Our cousin from Minneapolis gave us this recipe many years ago & we have used it often. It was Grandma Cookie's favorite; sometimes she would just eat it by the spoonful without the ice cream.~Brenda

Ingredients
2
cups sugar
1/4
cup Karo syrup
1/2
cup milk
1
stick butter
2
heaping tbsps. cocoa
dash of salt
1
tsp vanilla
Directions
1.
Melt butter and add cocoa and blend thoroughly.
2.
Add other ingredients.
3.
Cook over medium heat and let boil for one minute
4.
Add 1 tsp. vanilla.
5.
We always serve this warm over ice cream.
